Katie Mink has been licensed to practice acupuncture in California since 1987.  She is the owner and Director of the Bancroft Center of Chinese Medicine, specializing in acupuncture, Acutonics Sound Healing, nutrition, and Chinese Herbal Medicine.  Katie received her acupuncture degree from the San Francisco College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in 1987 and furthered her studies in China at Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1988.  She has also practiced acupuncture in India at the Meher Free Dispensary, Avatar Meher Baba Perpetual Public Charitable Trust, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India.  Her love for India has led her to take nineteen trips to volunteer there.  
Katie is Senior faculty, master teacher and a member of the Advisory Group of the Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine.  She and Laurie Herron are founders and co-directors of West Coast Acutonics in Berkeley, CA.

Laurie Herron

Laurie Herron has been practicing healing work for 25 years. Her work is a unique combination of sound vibration, intuition and Chinese medicine. Laurie facilitates the movement and transformation of Chi on the physical, emotional and mental realms.  Laurie has been teaching Acutonics in the greater Bay Area since 2004 and has a private practice at the Bancroft Center of Chinese Medicine. 
She is Senior faculty and master teacher at the Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine. She and Katie Mink, L.Ac. are founders and co-directors of West Coast Acutonics in Berkeley, California.

Our History

Bancroft Center of Chinese Medicine was established in 1990 by Katie Mink, L.Ac. In 2020 we are celebrating our 30th anniversary!  The Bancroft Center has been a nurturing environment for clients to come to for safe, transformative healing.
